You might be worried about finding and keeping a job – we’re here to help ease those worries.

Deaf and HoH people can and do have great jobs and careers, they just need the right support. That’s what we’re here for.

We’ll work with you from the start of your search, through job interviews and into employment providing the support you need.

CCS are a deaf-led company, so we understand the barriers to deaf and HoH people gaining and sustaining employment. And if you’re worried about how all of the support is paid for, we’ll help you with that too.

We will arrange for you to work with our deaf professional face to face remotely, this will include a good practice session for example completing a mock interview to make sure you’re prepared and full of confidence for the real thing!

Once you have successfully got the job, we will co-ordinate the application for your Access to Work government funded grant. We will also ensure you receive ongoing personalised in-work BSL communication support throughout your employment.

Your mental health matters too! You will have weekly catch ups with our deaf professional to discuss any issues you have, good or bad or even if you just want to let off steam, we will always be here to support you and your wellbeing.

Access to Work is a publicly funded employment support programme it aims to help disabled people start or stay in work and can provide practical and financial support if you have a disability.

We’ll take you through the paperwork and make sure you have the funding to support you throughout your search and into employment.

We have our own deaf professional and BSL interpreters who can get to know you and once employed, we (CCS) work with your employer to arrange your continuous support needs to help you feel settled and able to communicate as you need to.
