What Is Access to Work and How Can It Help Deaf Jobseekers?

The government’s Access to Work scheme provides a range of support, including:

• A grant to help pay for practical support
• Support with managing your mental health at work
• Money to pay for communication support at job interviews, such as a BSL interpreter, Deaf Relay Communication Support and Deaf Translator

We’ll take you through the paperwork and make sure you have the funding to support you throughout your search and into employment.

We have our own deaf professional and BSL interpreters who can get to know you and, once employed, we (CCS) work with your employer to arrange your continuous support needs to help you feel settled and able to communicate as you need to.
